Carbon Nanotube/Biomolecule Composite Yarn for Wearable Thermoelectric Applications

نویسندگان

چکیده

In this work, yarn made of a hybrid material carbon nanotubes (CNTs) and artificial biomolecules is created for the wearable thermoelectric (TE) module. Among limited methods due to sensitivity proteins, co-use ionic liquid polymeric surfactant with dialysis method found be effective dispersion CNT/biomolecule composite low CNT loss rate high coverage by on CNT. This new improved TE performance decreasing bundle diameter CNT/C-Dps nanocomposite better tensile strength. The incorporation biomolecule, in particular, significantly reduced thermal conductivity yarns, demonstrating that advantageous device applications. also outperformed conventional against pristine (without protein), application’s generality. Finally, low-density testing module using demonstrated, exhibiting output power 4.37 μW m–2 voltage 4.5 mV at temperature difference 20 K. density can easily increased 500-fold increasing number series connections. study proposes practical producing an environment-friendly yarn, which has potential useful future

Carbon nanotube yarn strain sensors.

Carbon nanotube (CNT) based sensors are often fabricated by dispersing CNTs into different types of polymer. In this paper, a prototype carbon nanotube (CNT) yarn strain sensor with excellent repeatability and stability for in situ structural health monitoring was developed. The CNT yarn was spun directly from CNT arrays, and its electrical resistance increased linearly with tensile strain, mak...

Wearable devices for telemedicine applications.

Wearable medical devices can provide both continuous monitoring and ubiquitous treatment. Challenges in this area include the need for a low-power/power-saving design to extend battery life and to reduce the size of the battery itself. This is followed by size and weight restrictions to meet patient expectations of what is 'wearable', the biocompatibility of all outer housings and the final ass...
